John Quiggin was born February 8, 1820 in Ramsey, Isle of Man. He married Hannah Vincent at St George Cathedral, Kingston, Ontario, Canada on January 21, 1850. They had eight children, George Alfred Quiggin,William Vincent Quiggin, John Edwin Quiggin, Charles Frederick Quiggin, Hannah Rosamund Quiggin, Albert Edward Quiggin, Edith Gertrude Quiggin and Annie Quiggin.

Anne Quiggin was born in February 1822 in Ramsey, Isle of Man, and later immigrated to Melbourne, Australia on the ship "Scargo" with her brother Robert. She married William Moore. They had no children.

Jane Quiggin was born in December 1823 in Ramsey, Isle of Man.

Ellen Quiggin was born in March 1829 in Ramsey, Isle of Man.

William Quiggin was born in August 1830 in Ramsey, Isle of Man. William came to Liverpool, England when quite young and eventually became a ship builder.

Catherine Quiggin was born in 1826, 1828 or 1831 (TBC) in Ramsey, Isle of Man. 1831 seems the most likely date as she was christened on 24 April 1831 (her other siblings were all christened the same year they were born).

Robert Quiggin was born in 1833 in Ramsey, Isle of Man and later immigrated to Melbourne, Australia on the ship "Scargo" with his sister Anne. He married Mary Anne Moore around 1865 (TBC).

Margaret Quiggin was born in 1838 in Ramsey, Isle of Man.

Phillip and Anne immigrated with two of their children (Jane, Ellen and Catherine) to Loughborough Township, Ontario, Canada some time in/before 1851.
